Both Christmas and New Years have been completed. 2011 has begun without me having had time to reflect on it. However New Year means new starts and new challenges. So Hello 2011 - This will be my year!

Summer Cravings, already?!

I know that winter should be at its best now around christmas, but I can't help for having serious cravings for warm summer nights, skirts & chilled out days in the sun...

After seeing the amazing masks that some of the worlds leading fashion profiles were wearing at the Vogue Anniversary Marquerade ball along with the fact that Halloween is nearing - I decided to go all in for a maquerade mask this year for Halloween. Monday again & loads of musts and should's - instead I decide to do nothing & actually enjoy that it's monday! To enjoy some more I was browsing true some old street style photos that I had & found this one. I love the blazer, or actually more the lining of the blazer. Amazing how the dots lift up the whole look!

Same but different.

Balmain keeps reinventing its signature look season after season. The trademark look of the label follows a rock-chic feminity where leather, studs, sequins, shoulder pads & laced shoes are held dear. I just keep wondering, Where will Balmain be when this type of fashion feels last season?!

When Diane von Furstenberg were describing her Fall/Winter collection she summed it up in a pretty amazing sentence and said "I always wanted to live a man's life in a woman's body". I like her way of thinking.

Fashion.

I were just thinking about that fashion is just such an amazing industry. So much creativity, hard work and innovation. I know it's not curing cancer but it sure brings something to this world.

Today for the first time this year I have true autumn feelings. With that I don't necessarily refer to clothing and outfits, but more like palpable feelings of new beginnings, productivity and time to start taking things seriously again.
