Came to think about some fashion history lessions I had at school & then Elsa Schiaparelli popped up in my mind. Such a creative creature who should never be forgotten. So, here is a reminder to you all. Got to love her.

Touch of red.

After having some cravings for red knits, I realized that I have seen a great picture of Carrie Bradshaw in red. After all this time I still think she looks stunning & decided to vote for red knits as an accent piece this winter.

Trademark look.

Karl Lagerfeld is propably the most obvious (and maybe the most interesting)example on personal branding. Today he has a strongly developed "trademark look" that can be recognized at a glance. Including high collar shirts, sunglasses, suit & of course his ponytail - always in black & white. He's as cool as he's scary, but got to love him. ♥

My New Thing.

Fashion related books are my favourite right now. I want a fine collection of books that have been released by designers, fashion profiles, photographers, fashion savy celebrities etc. etc. All I want for xmas is books ;)

Anna Piaggi is one of the most publicized fashion profiles today, wheather it's for her style, age & style or for her column for Vogue Italia. Besides a writer she is also a stylist, a fashion icon & sits on a long career in fashion (Started in 1960's). She follows the motto more is more, has an eccentric since of style & is propably the most colourful person in fashion right now.

Twins in Style.

Mary-kate & Ashley Olsen keeps delivering a good sense of style and a fashion forward attitude. I love how they supplement each other! Ashley has a slightly more tailored look while Mary-Kate goes all in on Rock-Bohemian. It's always inspiring to see how they combine their outfits.

Nick Knight

Nick Knight is one of the world's most influential fashion photographers. He worked for giants like Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Yohji Yamamoto and Yves Saint Laurent (To mention a few). He won numerous awards for his editorial works for some of the top international fashion magazines. Like said, One picture says more than a thousand words, right!?

LOVE is in the air!!!

So it was true! H&M confirmed today that the next designer marriage is with Lanvin. YES! Make sure to book up the 23rd of November - the date when the collaboration will be launched in retail. I will certainly be there.
