J'aime mon carré - Step 2

J'aime mon carré theme by Hermes (that I posted for some time ago) is about to take its next step. The label is planning to open two pop-up stores for a limited time this Winter. The stores has a purpose to celebrate the iconic scarf together with stylists to discover new ways to wear it & for photographers to catch the moment.

Luxury to the masses.

Speaking of LANVIN. The press pictures are out from the collaboration between Lanvin and H&M. The collection is described as full of modern and playful classics. Here are my favourites.

Halloween Extravaganza

LANVIN seemed to have a hell of a Halloween party this weekend at Madison Square, NY. Very refreshing with the contradictions of girlish pink and scary halloween.

Friis & Company ♥

Since Friis & Company has expanded their concept from only accessories to a full clothing line I stopped by their homepage & got caught up with this moodboard. Images really says more than thousands words & by looking at this I can get a full picture of what their brand philosophy is all about.

Triumph Award.

I think the most blogged fashion show from LFW so far is the Triumph Inspiration Award - where 30 international design students showed off inspirational pieces they have done for Triumph. Bulgaria won (Second row, 3rd from left). My personal favourite was the michelin inspired one. (on top of the winner) - LOVE IT.

London FW

London Fashion week has just kicked off & I'm excited to see what the've got to offer.

Burberry Retail Theatre

Listen up folks! Burberry is taking fashion to the next level to beat up the fast fashion hype over designer garments. How? Burberry will stream its London Fashion Week catwalk live in its 25 global flagship stores on 21st of September and allow customers to place immediate orders from the collection with a seven week delivery.

Is this the new strategy for high fashion designers to conquer fast fashion chains having designer rip of's in stores before the actual fashion houses? The future will tell.

Tranvestite Collection by Acne.

Acne designs transvestite collection in collaboration with Candy Magazine(A transvestite publication). The collection is not aiming to offer typical unisex pieces but to create a total gender confusion. And appeal an open-minded 21st century consumer. Even though the collection is small (only 3 pieces) I definitly like the message behind this collaboration.

Vivienne at Selfridges

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD SHOES
AN EXHIBITION
1973 - 2010

Vivienne Westwood is exhibiting her shoes from 1973 until today at Selfridges in London. Start today! (26th of August) and will keep going to the 22nd of September. So if you pass by London these day, make sure to check it out. I certainly wish I could go.
More information concerning the exhibition can be found on the facebook fanpage.

New designer; Hakaan Yildirim

Hakaan Yildirim is the new star of the fashion world. The relatively unknown designer got huge media exposure after some of the most influential profiles such as Kate Moss and Carine Roitfeld booked them up for his first show. And I see why since the designs are amazing. The collection consists of well tailored looks celebrating the female forms. Minidresses in neutral tones, aggressively geometric silhouettes and sharp waists are keywords for his designs. I will definitely have an eye on him in the future.
